Cloud base from 20000 ft or 6000 m and above.
Here you find the clouds of the cirrus group. They form on very high altitudes and because of the cold temperatures they contain mostly ice crystals. In combination with strong winds they get their typical feather or fibre like features.
You also find the high level inversion cloud cirrocumulus and one of the most beautiful phenomenon you can see in the sky, the magnificent cirrostratus with its halo effect.
